Firm hires for legal jobs in Tampa

Gould & Lamb, LLC has announced it hired for legal jobs in Tampa.

Patricia Kent, RN, JD, recently joined Gould & Lamb as Staff Counsel. She brings years of experience in Medicare Secondary Payer issues, and has also appeared as an expert witness for leading regional law firms in medical malpractice and liability insurance cases.

She will be responsible for assisting clients with Medicare compliance with a specific concentration in liability insurance issues.

She received her undergraduate degree from Kean University and her nursing degree from St. Petersburg College. In 2002, she received her JD from Stetson University’s College of Law. She is a licensed Florida Registered Nurse and a licensed Florida Health Care Risk Manager.

Sears layoffs will affect retail jobs in Tampa

The recently announced Sears store closures will most likely affect retail jobs in Tampa.

Chief Executive Officer Lou D’Ambrosio said in an earnings call that Sears and Kmart will close 100 stores.

“Given our performance and the difficult economic environment, especially for big-ticket items, we intend to implement a series of actions to reduce on-going expenses, adjust our asset base, and accelerate the transformation of our business model. These actions will better enable us to focus our investments on serving our customers and members through integrated retail

Hotel hires for sales jobs in Tampa

Embassy Suites has recruited someone for sales jobs in Tampa.

Monica Helenek joins the Tampa hotel team and will serve as the Corporate Sales Manager.

Monica Helenek graduated from Florida State University, double majoring in finance and hospitality. After working with Fidelity Investments for two years, she decided to accept a position with the Hyatt Regency Tampa.

After her time at the Hyatt Regency, she left to join the team at the Embassy Suites Tampa Westshore Hotel.
