HoneyBaked Ham, famous for its sweet baked hams, said this week it is hiring for its seasonal jobs in Tampa, among other locales.
The company will ramp up hiring to recruit 6,300 people nationwide. HoneyBaked’s Georgia Division, with approximately 300 stores across the US, will hire 4,100 seasonal employees through January 1, 2012.
The store will also be hiring for food service jobs in Jacksonville.
Personnel needs at stores during the holiday season support a major operation to prepare and distribute HoneyBaked’s products, as well as to ramp up frontline customer sales at over 400 stores nationwide.
Within the Georgia Division, metropolitan Atlanta HoneyBaked corporate stores will account for nearly 700 new hires with Birmingham, Denver, Greensboro, Knoxville, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans, St. Louis and Tampa each adding between 125 -200 seasonal employees.
HoneyBaked store operators have selective standards in hiring workers suited to uphold a family legacy begun by company founder Harry J. Hoenselaar over 50 years and 400 stores ago. As a result, HoneyBaked attracts seasonal employees who return annually to call HoneyBaked stores their home for the holiday season.
“HoneyBaked customers are extremely loyal, but uncompromising, and do not settle for anything less than the best,” said Maggie DeCan, HoneyBaked Chief Operating Officer. “As a member of the HoneyBaked team, we are keepers of a brand promise that has very high expectations attached to it. Our customers come to us when they are facing an occasion that calls for specialness,” said DeCan. “We go to great lengths to hire a holiday team that respects, understands and delivers the HoneyBaked promise.”
