Insurance giant Progressive is recruiting for insurance jobs in Tampa, according to multiple news releases.

At a local call center, the insurance company is hiring 110 people for various jobs.

“The number of policyholders we have continues to grow,” company spokeswoman Leah Knapp said to TampaBay.com, citing a 6 percent increase in auto policies and 5 percent increase in special lines policies compared to a year ago. (more…)

Electronics Manufacturer Creonix has announced its intent to expand and create and add 105 manufacturing jobs in Tampa.

Creonix LLC, an advanced electronics manufacturing services company, is expanding its Manatee County facility and plans to add 105 employees over the next five years, according to Manatee Economic Development Council (EDC). Creonix, which has been in business since 1988, provides electronic manufacturing services for leading companies in the medical, military, aerospace, and industrial sectors.
